By accessing or using Online Notepad ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Online Notepad is a free, web-based tool for creating and sharing temporary notes. Users create a note with a unique ID and PIN, write in an online editor, and share it with others via a link or QR code — anyone with the link and PIN can open and edit the same note. Notes support pasted images and file attachments, and are temporary: a note and its files are automatically deleted 7 days after the last time it was opened or edited. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

3. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

Keeping your note IDs and PINs secure and confidential
All content you create or store using the Service
Using the Service in compliance with all applicable laws
Not using the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

4. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

Store, share, or distribute illegal content
Harass, abuse, or harm others
Violate any intellectual property rights
Transmit malware or other harmful code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Interfere with or disrupt the Service

5. Data and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data. However:

PINs are hashed and cannot be recovered if forgotten
We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data
Notes are temporary: a note and its attachments are automatically deleted 7 days after the last time it is opened or edited, and cannot be recovered afterwards
You are responsible for backing up important information; you can export a note to a Word document before it expires
Anyone you share a note's link and PIN with can open and edit that note, so share them carefully

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by iiniit and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, iiniit shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

8. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
